Promises 436-440

436. Promise: God provides for and sustains the righteous in all circumstances.

“The Lord sustains the righteous.” (Psalm 37:17)

437. Promise: God is a safe refuge and a strong- hold for the oppressed in times of trouble.

“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.” (Psalm 9:9)

438. Promise: God protects and preserves those who remain faithful to Him.

“The Lord protects and preserves the faithful, but the proud He pays back in full.” (Psalm 31:23)

439. Promise: Trusting in the Lord brings un- shakable stability and endurance.

“Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.” (Psalm 125:1)

440. Promise: God blesses those who delight in His Word and follow His ways.

“Blessed is the man who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take, or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord.” (Psalm 1:1-2)
