Promises 238-243

238. Promise: Jesus’ sacrifice atones for all sin, offering forgiveness to the world.

“He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.”—(1 John 2:2)

239. Promise: God delights in us and rejoices over us with love and singing.

“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love, He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”—(Zephaniah 3:17)

240. Promise: God is our eternal hope and trust from the time of our youth to the end of our lives.

“For You, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth.”—(Psalm 71:5)

241. Promise: God promises to cleanse us from our sins, making us pure through His forgiveness.

“Come now, let us settle the matter, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”—(Isaiah 1:18)

243. Promise: Belief in Jesus guarantees eternal life, while rejection results in separation from God.

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.” – (John 3:36)
