Day 2: Engraved in His Love

Day 2 Engraved in His Love

“See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me.”
—Isaiah 49:16 (NKJV)

You are not simply remembered by God—you are eternally engraved in the heart of His love. —Dr. Daniel LeBlanc

There is something profoundly intimate and eternal about God’s declaration in Isaiah 49:16. He does not say you are penciled in or temporarily noted. He says you are inscribed—a word that speaks of permanence, like an engraving in stone or metal. The Hebrew word used here means to carve or cut in, implying that your name, your identity, and your story are forever etched into the very hands of the One who shaped the heavens and the earth. This is not poetic exaggeration. It is a divine reality. You are not forgotten, overlooked, or set aside. You are engraved upon the hands of the Father.

In the Father's Love Zone, this truth becomes your constant assurance. It is here that His gaze never turns away. The verse goes further, saying, “your walls are continually before Me.” That means every detail of your life—your needs, your boundaries, your burdens, your prayers—are continually in His view. He does not look away. He does not forget. And He does not flinch at your flaws. His love is steadfast, His presence is unceasing, and His affection is covenantal.

But this promise is not only something to be received—it is a truth that must be reflected. If your name is engraved upon His hands, then His love should be engraved upon your heart, and expressed through your life. You were not marked for memory alone; you were marked to become a message. God’s love was never intended to stop with you. It flows from the throne of grace, touches your soul, and is meant to reach the broken, the forgotten, and the overlooked through you.

Consider for a moment—who in your life feels unseen? Who walks through this world wondering if anyone notices, if anyone cares? The Father has chosen you to be His ambassador of remembrance. As one who is engraved in His love, you are now called to carry that same love outward. You were inscribed not just to be cherished, but to be sent—marked with mercy, defined by compassion, and overflowing with the grace that has first marked you.

So as you go about your day, let this truth steady your heart: you are forever held in His hands. And from that place of secure love, become a living inscription of grace to those who need to know that they, too, are seen and known by the Father.

Prayer
Father, thank You for the beautiful truth that I am engraved on the palms of Your hands. You have not forgotten me. You see me, know me, and love me with an everlasting love. Help me to rest in this assurance, but also to rise with purpose. Let Your love be carved into my words, my actions, and my attitude. Make me a living reflection of the love that has so powerfully marked my life. Let others experience Your heart through mine. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
